ESCARAMUZA
FLUORESCENTE
Buque Bólido returns with a new musical show, a wacky concert with live projections (live cinema) for ages 3 to 103. We’ve been writing songs for the past twelve months and imagining an outlandish presentation on contemporary themes with humour and satire (the economy of attention, digital dependency or burnout culture), always from an intergenerational point of view, critical and fun. Buque Bólido is the art and education collective I have with Toña Medina since 2014. We’ll debut in Matadero Madrid on June 7 and 14, 2025. After that we’d like to take it on the road!

The sacred
silence (kit)
PLANEA network, which unites art and schools, asked me to design and produce a kit (twelve boxes, to be precise) for teachers to work in their classrooms on listening through art, exercises and games to demistify silence and see it as a place of opportunity and pleasure. Designed for forty Primary and Elementary teachers, each participating school receives a kit with training and accompaniment by me as they implement the project in their classroom, from January to May 2025. Thanks to Pedagogías invisibles, it’s an honour to participate in this edition of PLANEA along with Pedro Toro (Colectivo HUL), Sara San Gregorio and Arancha Cristo (Juguetoría).

Exhibition
and activities
In Helsinki
I’ll travel to Finland to present my diary of parenthood in the exhibition Becoming Many, as well as a Circle of Lullabies hosted by Sateenkaariperhet (Rainbow families). Twelve artists and practitioners reflect on how our lives are deeply interwoven with the lives of others, the many ways we are undone, made, and remade by each other. Curated by María Villa, Kemê Pellicer and Lotta Esko at Myymälä2, Helsinki (Finland), “Becoming Many reflects on the constant challenges and (often invisible) negotiations we enter when caring for others —be them our elders, children, or dependent adults in our families, whether biological or chosen— while wanting to thrive as art and culture workers”. From March 13 to June 4th, 2025. Read the entire text on the Myymälä2 website.

First
date
An encounter of neighbours and non-neighbouts, an invitation to two groups of elders that meet biweekly in Casa San Cristóbal andLa Casa Encendida. They’ve been meeting up for years in each house. They have a lot in common but are also particular. They share their interest in learning new things, leaving loneliness behind and practicing mutual support. With my accompaniment, they have been getting to know each other in the distance, through recordings, questions and writings, these past few weeks. Their first date will be on Sunday, February 2nd of 2025, at 12pm. They’ll see each other for the first time with some games, some music and some food and drinks. Free entry, in La Casa Encendida’s tower 1 as part of ACENTO, an open doors day. I’ve also designed a little souvenir I will give to each participant (Songs for a First date).

Circle
of
lullabies
A series of encounters, a cozy space and a slow time to sit with your baby (or your belly) and share lullabies. The original sessions worked so well in ABRAPALABRA festival that La Casa Encendida asked me to continue during the rest of the season. The sessions take place every two weeks: February 6, 8, 19; March 5, 19; April 2, 30; May 14, 28; June 11 and 25, 2025.

Lullaby
exchange
Would you like to participate in an exchange of lullabies? Send me a message and I’ll tell you more (in the menu, you’ll find my contact). I’ll sing you one, you sing me another.
Circle of lullabies is a sung investigation I’ve been working on, from the everyday of my parenthood, discovering new ways of relating to music, since A came into our lives, since my voice is also their home. Almost three years later, I open the project with a series of encounters, starting in ABRAPALABRA, children's literature festival, curated by Ana Cristina Herreros with the team of La Casa Encendida on December 10 to 15, 2024.
This photo is one of the first images I took of A and their little ear, with that distinct fold! 📐
